Open World Archeology Structure

Discovering Fragments

As this update sets out to build on top of the vanilla archeology update, discovering ancient items from structures within the world is what it's all about!

When exploring the open worlds, you will find a wealth of structures in every region! Similar to vanilla, you can use a brush item to reveal ancient loot from surrounding suspicious sand and gravel blocks.

New Archeology Fragments & Artifacts

Each region of the game will come with its own set of beautiful structures and unique fragments. Fragments are lost treasures of the past that can be used to craft artifacts, allowing you to collect hundreds of themed furniture, cosmetics, and more!

Adventurers Artifact Workbench

Journal Menu

Collecting all artifacts and fragments will be a challenge, but the new journal menu makes it easy to track what you have seen, and what you have crafted - you can open it by pressing L on your keyboard!

As you first discover fragments in the world, you will be alerted that you have unlocked the ability to view any artifacts made with that fragment via the menu. Question marks will begin to flash, then simply click to reveal what is behind!

Journal Menu

When clicking on artifacts that you have discovered, you'll see journal entries from Dr. Diggy (seen in the Museum), which give you a look into the history of each item.
